String Bending

In order to bend a string, first fret down any fret, pluck it to get it vibrating, and then pull or push it across the fret wire. The pitch will increase, but you want to increase the pitch by a pre-determined amount, and the only way to be able to do that is practice. Shown below is a tabulature of common bending pitches. First, play the fret in brackets, then pluck the 9th fret and bend it up to the pitch of the other fret you just played. Be careful not to cause too much pain on your fingers when bending to higher notes. (Take a break if it starts to hurt!)
